Bashier Mosque, Bensheim, Germany is arranging an exhibition entitled “Prof. Dr. Abdus Salam: the Quest for the Ultimate Theory - A milestone on the way to unification of all FORCES.”
Hameed Ahmed Khalid, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat e.V., Kreis Bergstraße, has issued an open invitation to the event which is scheduled to take place on October 29, 2009. The event will be held at Bashier Mosque Bensheim, located at Zeppelinstraße 33, 64625 Bensheim – Germany.

Prof. Dr. Abdus Salam realized the dream of Albert Einstein's theory of “Unification of Natural Forces” by unifying the electromagnetic and weak interaction in 1968. For achieving this milestone in Physics, he received the Nobel Prize in 1979. He was the first Muslim scientist to receive this award.
Dr. Abdus Salam founded the “International Centre for Theoretical Physics” (ICTP) in Trieste Italy in 1964. The ICTP is considered as the most important Research Institute worldwide. It was mainly devoted to the advancement of science in developing countries. The centre introduced a forum for exchange of scientists between developing countries and the industrialized world. More than 100,000 scientists completed their researches and more than 100 Nobel Laureates have taught in ICTP.
The list of scientists scheduled to speak at the event include, among others, Dr. Gordon Fraser, Science Journalist, France; Dr. Sascha Eschborn, Doctor in Physics, Hamburg; Dr. Naeem Tahir, Senior Scientist at Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research (GSI) Darmstadt; and Prof. Michael Duff, Abdus Salam Chair of Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London and Fellow of the Royal Society.
Additionally, Prof. Sheldon Lee Glashow, Prof Pervez Hoodhbhoy, and Prof. Tom Kibble have sent personal messages to be delivered at the event.
