The Buffalo Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community announced today that the 14th interfaith conference will be held on February 28th, 2010, between 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
The event, entitled “Concept of God in My Faith,” will be held at the Millennium Hotel, located at 2040 Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, NY (across from the Walden Galleria Mall).
‘Do we all worship the same God or what kind of God is described in our faith,’ are the type of topics that the invited speakers will discuss and explain from their particular vantage points.
The presenters will speak about the concept of God as offered in their respective faith, and explore the role of God in the individual, social and global aspects of humanity, again only as described in their own religious scriptures and traditions.
According to the program several leaders from various faiths have been engaged to speak at the event. Each speaker will be allocated 15 minutes to make the presentation and the speeches will be followed by a question & answer session.
The presenters’ names released to Ahmadiyya Times include, Dr. Vijayaraghavan Chakravarthy representing Hinduism, Ms. Agnes Williams representing Native American faiths, Rabbi Drorah Setel representing Judaism, Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Davis representing Christianity, and Imam Yahya Luqman representing Islam.
The organizer will offer refreshment during the break at the end of the program.
Admission is free and the program is open to all. All would-be attendees are free to pass the invitation to anyone else who may be interested.
Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by Friday February 26th, 2010 via e-mail to buffalo@ahmadiyya.us or by phone # 716-304-7025.
