LONDON: MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has said a revolution against the outdated feudal system is knocking at Pakistan’s doorstep.
He said this while talking to different people at the MQM’s London’s secretariat.
Altaf urged the people of the country to play their role to bring about a change against feudalism.
He also the days of those who have looted the country are numbered.
The MQM chief has made repeated calls for a revolution over the last month. He has stated that feudals have been under the patronage of generals for the past 63 years. He has also said that feudals breached embankments to save their lands.
He said earlier that flood survivors should come out and seize the palaces and lands of the feudal lords; the people living out in the open should be lodged in these palaces.
Altaf Hussain also said that poverty and inflation have risen to a level where it is difficult to stop the way for a revolution. He called for bringing those who looted the national exchequer to justice.
His statement urging “any patriotic general” to take steps against corrupt politicians and feudalism has met with criticism from political parties.
PM Gilani said that he was unaware of the context in which the MQM chief asked the army to take action against corrupt politicians, whereas PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif said that statement was made with ill-intent.
