A Senator of the World Nations Congress and the Consul General of the Tuvalu Islands in the United Kingdom, Dr Iftikhar Ayaz, OBE (Officer of the Excellent Order of the British Empire), has now been awarded the Ambassador of Knowledge Medal – Medallion for Intelligence and Wisdom Ceremoniously acknowledged at the University of Cambridge, England during the 2010 World Forum recently.
Dr Ayaz is a well known International Human Rights activist and is making useful contribution to the restoration and sustenance of Human Rights particularly in the Commonwealth countries. Dr Ayaz, who visited Sri Lanka last year said that the genuine efforts made by the Government of Sri Lanka towards justice, equality and peace were exemplary. The services of Dr Ayaz for humanity have been recognized by the American Biographical Research Institute who has honored Dr Ayaz as the 2010 Man of the Year in Human Rights.
Dr Ayaz has also been awarded the World Freedom Medal.
He is already the recipient of several other awards and amongst other things continues to work passionately for the alleviation of poverty in the Third World countries.
Dr Ayaz is an eminent member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam.
