BATALA: Punjab's Education Minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan has lauded Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s efforts to establish peace and communal harmony in society while speaking on the occasion of 2nd day of 119th Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community here in Qadian in Punjab.
He said, “Jamaat Ahmadiyya has always been in the forefront to spread peace and love throughout the world”. He added that it’s only with such efforts that peace could be brought about in the world.
The second day of the convention also was also attended by Professor Darbari Lal, Former Deputy Speaker, Punjab Assembly. Congratulating the Jamaat, he said that the message that Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib, the founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community gave to the world is a golden chapter in Indian History. “Mirza Sahib’s teaching is gist of all religions”, said Professor Darbari Lal.
Earlier in the day, the second session began with recital of verses from Holy Quran. Delivering a keynote address in the second session of the day, Shiraz Ahmad Sahib, Secretary Education Dept, presented an Islamic solution to the global economic crisis.
Blaming the crisis on interest based economies; he said that an interest free economy, a simple way of living and less dependence on loans is very important to avoid such crisis in future. Quoting Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib (Supreme Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community), he said, “The root cause behind the economic crisis is that people are going away from Allah. The western countries have forgotten Allah. The Real and permanent solution is to turn towards Allah Almighty.”
Speaking on the topic of “Ahmadiyya Jamaat and its financial sacrifices, Shoib Ahmad Sahib, Officer Jalsa Salana, said that we should always be in the forefront of making financial sacrifices for Allah Almighty.
Significantly, more than 4,000 delegates have come from Pakistan to attend the spiritual convention. The Annual Convention will continue till 28th December here in Qadian, the headquarters of Ahmadiyya Community in India. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was founded by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib in 1889. It is noteworthy that the community members are spread in 198 countries. The community has been in the forefront of helping poor and destitute sections of the society and to promote peace, harmony and love among people. The motto of the community "Love for All, Hatred for None", speaks volumes about the community.
