On Friday, December 24, Volunteers from the local chapter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community prepared and served 150 plus hot lunches poor, homeless and hungry locals at The Salvation Army Soup kitchen located at 222 Lafayette St, Schenectady, NY.
Christianity and Islam share quite a few commonalities. Serving the less fortunate is a central belief and practice for both religions. Members of the Ahmadiyya Community are very excited and have been busy making Christmas centerpieces so the less fortunate members of their community can truly enjoy their holiday meal.
