| Missionary Hafiz Jibreel Saeed Kofi from Uganda visited Honiara, Solomon Islands |

FOUNDER of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Trustees Incorporated in Solomon Islands is currently in the country to visit members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association.
Speaking to the press yesterday Missionary Hafiz Jibreel Saeed Kofi from Uganda said his visit was to teach Honiara’s Ahmadiyya Muslims more about the basics of Islam.
Mr Hafiz Jibreel Saeed Kofi informed the media that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Trustees are united all over the world.
He also told the local media that Islam has got nothing to do with terrorism and they condemn all sorts of violence in their religion.
“Islam does not preach suicide bombing, it’s just a few people involved in politics who do all sorts of things,” he said.
Mr Kofi also said suicide bombing is not invented by Muslims but started a very long time ago.
“If people misbehave religions should not be blamed but the people who do the bad things,” he said.
“Islam is a very peaceful religion and religion is supposed to promote peace and love.
Mr Kofi also assured the media that the Ahmadiyya Muslim have not been involved in violence since their establishment 100 years ago.
Mr Kofi is here for a week and will be leaving next week to visit some of their members in other parts of the Pacific Islands before heading back to Uganda.
“There’s nothing to fear about Muslim especially us because we are trying our best to follow the teaching of the Koran.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association was introdued into the Solomon Islands 20 years ago by Hafiz Jibreel Saeed Kofi.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Trustees Corporated Solomon Islands was legally established in 2003 and had members from Malaita, Temotu and Western Province.
There are more than one billion Muslims around the world; about 180 countries joined the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Trustees.
