The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Lake County continues its “Muslims for Peace” Library Outreach Campaign with its latest event in Antioch, IL.
According to the information made available to Ahmadiyya Times, the event will take place at the Antioch Public Library on Mar. 26th at 2:00pm and will consist of an interactive community dialogue on the religion of Islam.
The event is free and open to the public.
Junayd Latif, who who serves as Outreach Coordinator for the Lake County chapter of AMC says the organization has held similar events in the Village of Grayslake and the chapter’s host community of Zion and the response at both events has been overwhelmingly positive.
"The AMC looks forward to engaging its neighbors in Antioch as well," says Latif.
Latif explains that in recent years Islam has been linked to a growing number of violent acts and backward ideas that many non-Muslims believe is an inherent part of the Islamic faith.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has launched a national public awareness campaign called "Muslims for Peace" designed to educate and better inform its neighbors on the true teachings of Islam.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the oldest American Muslim denomination in America.
The community has over 60 chapters throughout the US whose members have led peaceful lives and continue to quietly contribute to the betterment of their communities.
AMC lives by its motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None" in all 190+ countries in which it resides.
The AMC strongly believes Muslims are faith-bound to show loyalty to their country of residence and condemns all acts of terrorism or any violence to promote religion.
The AMC plans to continue its "Library Outreach" events in various communities around Lake County and SE Wisconsin throughout the next year.
Evenet venue is Antioch Public Library District located at 757 North Main Street, Antioch, IL 60002
