Good Morning, Buffalo: A quick look at what's happening today in Western New York

The Amjad Khan coming to speak at 6 p.m. in Room 170 Fillmore in the Ellicott Complex on the University at Buffalo North Campus in Amherst is not either one of the famous cricket-playing Amjad Khans.

He's Amjad Mahmood Khan, the national public affairs director for the reformist Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA. Ahmadiyya Muslims are persecuted as non-Muslims in Pakistan.

A Harvard Law School graduate and former editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal, he lectures extensively on Islamic issues. His topic tonight -- "Religious Freedom: An American Muslim Perspective." It's sponsored by the Buffalo Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
