ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has maintained his previous record of getting away from the arena of hot events in the country by flying off to perform another Umra in Saudi Arabia. “Fazl flew to Saudi Arabia and would return home after performing Umra,” circles close to him told The News here Saturday avoiding the aftermath of the Osama killing.

They believed that the Maualna would come back when the dust settles. “His en tourage members are back after completing the official trip in Europe according to the schedule, but he is to remain outside the county for next few days,” said the sources.

The JUI-F Secretary Information Maulana Amjad, when approached, however, rejected that Fazl was deliberately out of the country in order to avoid a direct comment on Abbotababd operation.

Amjad, who strongly defended his party head, insisted that the Maulana’s Saudi Arabia visit was in his schedule after he had spent almost two weeks in Europe tour. “His whole party is here to speak on the key issues.”
