A SHEFFIELD Muslim community is hosting a seminar tomorrow to dispel myths associated with the faith.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association is holding the event at the Baitul Afiyat Mosque, Sussex Street, at 3.30pm.

A spokesman for the association said: “We are committed to promoting social integration and involved in spreading peace and tolerance.

“Our aims are simple - we want the people to appreciate Islam in its true light. We want to dispel myths surrounding our faith.”

Among those attending the ceremony will be Deputy Lord Mayor Coun Sylvia Dunkley, Chf Insp Ian Chorlton, of South Yorkshire Police, and Bilal Atkinson, regional president of the mosque association. Imam of the London Mosque Maulana Ataul Mujeeb Rashed will be keynote speaker at the event.
