Ghana: Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission decries culture of insults in politics

Fasting aims at laying a solid foundation not only for moral uprightness and spiritual development, but also unity, concerns for the under-privileged in society discipline and national cohesion.

The Head and Missionary In-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Dr Maulvi Wahab Adam has decried the culture of insults in the country's political discourse and violence.

Dr Adam said this when he led the Ahmadis in prayers at Ashongman.

The practice, he noted is an affront to democracy.

Dr Maulvi Adam described as unfortunate the acts of moral decay that have permeated every sector of the society.

He said fasting aims at laying a solid foundation not only for moral uprightness and spiritual development, but also unity, concerns for the under-privileged in society discipline and national cohesion. GBC
