Life After Death, Myth or Reality will be the theme for the Interfaith Symposium World Religions Conference coming up this Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Cariboo Memorial Complex from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The symposium is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama, B.C. Canada in collaboration with the Interfaith Symposium, says Rizwan Peerzada, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Surrey.
Peerzada says the symposium is part of efforts to promote religious harmony across Canada.
Religious scholars from Aboriginal faith, Judaism, Christianity, Sikhism, and Islam along with many dignitaries from the City of Williams Lake, scholars, general public and students are expected to attend this conference, say organizers.
This conference is being organized with cooperation from The Campus Christian, ministries, Manyhorses First Nation Aboriginal Community, Hindu Society, Jewish Brothers & Sisters, and Sikh Temple, Peerzada says.
Surinderpal S. Rathor will be the presiding chair and moderator.
Presenters will be Gloria George on Aboriginal faith, Dr. Chris Montoya on Christianity, Dr. Parnish Kumar on the Hind faith, Avtar Grewal on the Sikh faith, and Muhammad Afzal Mirza on Islam faith.
