Re: "Russell Simmons trying to buy ad time on American Muslim," Herald Online, Dec. 13.
I like the show All-American Muslim, as it is an eye-opener for a lot of conservative Americans. The show is about the life of a Muslim, born and raised in North America or anywhere else in the West. It shows how well Muslims, while following their religion and traditions, have integrated themselves and merged their way of life with the American way of life.
Through this show, thousands of Americans watch the truth about Muslims living in America. They are not all terrorists, nor do they have intentions of bombing and destroying America. This truth is definitely going to cause problems for the conservatives, who strongly believe that Muslims are nothing but trouble. Anything contrary to their beliefs about Muslims will not be tolerated, and therefore not funded.
This TLC show will help eliminate prejudices against Muslims and contribute to bringing peace, compassion and respect between the American people. I am pleased about the support efforts made by Russell Simmons and others.
