THE third annual peace conference in Northampton, to promote harmony between different cultures, has been declared a success by community leaders.
Dr Naveed Zafar, president of organisers, The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, who also works at Northampton General Hospital’s A&E department, said: “Our main purpose of these conferences is to show the real Islam, the one that lies buried and forgotten due to extremist ideologies which taint its beautiful teachings.
“Everyone who attends one of our events goes away with warm wishes for our endeavours.”
The conference was entitled “Morality – a place in today’s society” and took place at Caroline Chisholm School in Wootton.
