Seventy members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Students Organization on Thursday organized a blood donation exercise in support of the Kumasi South Hospital.
Mr Ibrahim Asare, an Executive Member of the organization, said this was their contribution towards saving lives at the facility.
He said they had also embarked on health outreach programmes in Senior High Schools and in tertiary institutions to assist their colleague students to appreciate the need for regenerative health and keep themselves healthy through regular physical exercises and to adopt healthy lifestyles.
He said there should be no doubt that good eating habits – staying away from fatty foods, alcohol and smoking could significantly protect people from hypertension and other life-style related diseases.
Mr Asare appealed to the people to take issues bothering on their health more seriously. GNA
