Sierra Leone: Ahmadiyya, Wilberforce Municipal win Inter-Sec Sports

In the boys’ category, Ahmadiyya secured 106 points followed by Ansarul with 90 points and trailed in third position by Government Rokel with 81 points.

Ahmadiyya Secondary School has won both boys and girls categories for senior secondary schools in this year’s three-day Inter Secondary Schools sports competition.

In the boys’ category, Ahmadiyya secured 106 points followed by Ansarul with 90 points and trailed in third position by Government Rokel with 81 points. Baptist secured 57 points placing them in fourth position, while Government Model attained fifth position with 56 points.

In the Girls category, Ahmadiyya was again the winner with 94 points and in second position was the Methodist Girls High School (MGHS) with 86 points, followed closely in third position by Government Model with 76 points.

In the junior boys category however, it was the Wilberforce Municipal Secondary School who clinched victory with 86 points and in second position came St. Anthony Secondary School with 73 points to be trailed by Behesti in third position with 57.5 points.

For the junior girls’ category, it was a win again for Wilberforce Municipal Secondary School with 71 points followed by Wesleyan with 65 points.

Speaking to the press, Sahid Conteh, Assistant Director of Physical Health Education in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said that this year’s inter secondary schools sporting meet was a success and praised the conduct and performance of the pupils. He appealed to the schools who did not win to sum up courage and sportsmanship and wished them better luck next year.
