Indonesia: Ahmadiyya mosque in Singaparna attacked by FPI Islamist extremists

The mob was reportedly angry because they believed the Ahmadiyya faith-based activities were in progress inside the mosque which the militants had previously attempted to seal to stop Ahmadīs from offering prayers and reciting the holy Qur’an.

Tasikmalaya: (AT) Dozens who showed up to attack the Baitur Rahim mosque and the Ahmadiyya congregation in Singaparna, Tasikmalaya, West Java, came armed with stones and sticks.

According to local news reports, a mob of militants from the extremist Islamist group FPI climbed fences and walls to enter the Ahmadiyya mosque complex on Friday (20/4) morning.

Disregarding the occupants inside the mosque, the report said, the angry mob immediately started vandalizing the premises and the flames could be seen through the windows.

In just 15 minutes, the mosque was badly damaged.

The mob was reportedly angry because they believed the Ahmadiyya faith-based activities were in progress inside the mosque which the militants had previously attempted to seal to stop Ahmadīs from offering prayers and reciting the holy Qur’an.

Budi Badrus Salam of the Ahmadiyah community at the premises said they were getting the site ready for Friday prayers when the mob attacked the facilities.
As for the leadership of the mosque and the Imam, Budi said, they have been evacuated to safety.

After venting their anger, the attackers dispersed, it was further reported.

  1. May Allah bless jamat and spread it's teachingthroughout the Indonesia and able their people to understand the voice of real peace in every aspect of life. They are calling themselves real Muslims but their actions contradict their claim and making them similar to "kuffar e Makkah"
