The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community group, “Muslims who believe in the Messiah,” will host an exhibit of the Quran from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 5 at the Emporia Public Library.

The exhibition will showcase what the Quran says regarding contemporary issues, women’s rights, prophecies and other religions.

Visitors will be able to browse through various translations and listen to an audio recording of the Quaran text in Arabic.

All are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the God sent Mirza Ghulam Ahmad to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is also the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Over a century ago, Ahmad emphatically declared that an aggressive “jihad by the sword” has no place in Islam. In its place, he taught his followers to wage a bloodless, intellectual “jihad of the pen” to defend Islam.
