Abdul Sattar Khan, the Imam and president of the Ahmadiyya community in Guatemala, visits Arequipa, and brings a message of peace and love.
"There is a lot of distortion in the world against Islam, many believe that it as something negative due to the fundamentalists, but those findings are incorrect, we only carry the message of peace and love," said the leader.
The community has 200 million followers in 200 countries worldwide.
"Gradually people will hear about our doctrine [of Ahmadiyyat, the True Islam] and above all of our respect for women."
The Imam is in Peru, trying to provide necessary information so that the number of faithful increases worldwide, already present in various parts of Latin America like Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil and Bolivia, and also in Guatemala and Panama.
"We are peaceful people, we reject all those movements that want to see Islam lead by terrorists who promote death, all this is the result of a distortion. We reject the concept of holy war with arms [in this day and age], the true Islam only brings the messages of peace, harmony, solidarity and total submission to God, “said Abdul Sattar Khan.
He did not rule out the possibility of developing a project for the construction of a mosque in Arequipa.
