Indonesia: Ahmadi man found hanged in mosque tower in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta


On July 8 families reported to the police station that victim was missing and they were worried because the deceased had not been heard from since he left home on July 4th.

[UPDATE] This story has been updated to protect the identity of the victim. How and why the victim died, has not been confirmed.

An Ahmadiyah followers was found dead in a helpless position in the tower of the Al-Hidayah Mosque, Jalan Raya Ciputat No School Gang. 18 Rt. 10 Rw. 10, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The victim died at around 9:30 pm Thursday, July 19, 2012, it has been determined.

According to the Communication and Information Center of Jakarta Police, the victim was first discovered by two officials at the mosque.

The victim was found hanging lifeless with a broken neck bound in yellow plastic rope.

On July 8 families reported to the police station that victim was missing and they were worried because the victim had not been heard from since he left home on July 4th.

The police declared victim as mentally unstable and the authorities took the body of the victim to Fatmawati hospital.
