Internationally dubbed as 'Merchant of Menace', Pakistan's disgraced nuclear scientist, Dr. A Q Khan has floated a political forum, 'Tehrik-e-Tahaffuz Pakistan' [Pakistan Defense Movement].

Widely proclaimed as 'Father of Islamic Bomb,' Khan says he plans to launch a nationwide program ahead of the general election in Pakistan.

Khan, a beloved of the country's conservative wing, said he plans to motivate the youth "regarding who to vote for and who not to vote for," a Pakistani English news daily, The Express Tribune reported.

"I will consistently urge youth to elect honest persons in upcoming elections and stand for survival of the country," he was quoted to have said.

Khan was placed under house arrest in 2004 after he admitted to selling country's nuclear design secrets and  running a proliferation ring that provided know-how and nuclear components to countries like North Korea and Libya.

The current PPP government has eased much of the restrictions on the nuclear scientist.

Widely remembered as a 'traitor' for selling his country's strategic scientific secrets, Dr Khan recently took center stage on a religious TV show in Pakistan and profoundly claimed that 'no traitor was ever bone in his ancestral land, Bhopal, India.'

He also took a swipe at the country's persecuted  religious Ahmadi minority group claiming '.. and no Qadiani is ever born among us Bhopalees....'

Taking potshots at Ahmadi community is a routine pastime for Pakistani wanna-be politicians and pseudo-talkingheads to solidify their followings.

Khan claims traditional political parties have failed to deliver on their promises and says his party's campaign would ask the youth not to vote for traditional parties.
