USA: Muslims For Life 2012 blood donor campaign in Georgia

AMC-Georgia partnered with LifeSouth and Red Cross on several drives in providing volunteers and in others by hosting drives. We are grateful to all those who donated and helped us exceed the goal.

Last year Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA set out to collect 10,000 units of blood on the 10th year anniversary of Sep 11, 2001. This effort was huge success. The final units collected count was well above the goal. In Georgia alone, the final count of units collected was 1225. AMC-Georgia partnered with LifeSouth and Red Cross on several drives in providing volunteers and in others by hosting drives. We are grateful to all those who donated and helped us exceed the goal.

The Second Muslims for Life campaign was kicked off on 11th August, 2012. It will run through 11th September, 2012. The first Georgia drive will be on the occasion of Eid (a Muslim celebration following fasting of Ramadhan) on Aug 19, 2012 in Lucky Shoals Park in Norcross. There are other drives taking place in Georgia and will be added here as they are confirmed. Currently the following drives are confirmed:


August 19th Lucky Shoals Park, 4651 Britt Road, Norcross, GA 30093 10a.m. to 3p.m.


  • August 22nd University of Georgia, Creswell Community, 415 Baxter St. Athens, GA, 30609 1p.m. to 7p.m.
  • August 22nd University of Georgia, Ramsey Center, 330 River Rd, Athens, GA, 30602 2p.m. to 6p.m.
  • August 24th Tanger Outlets, 800 Steven B Tanger Blvd, Suite 201, Commerce, GA 30529 2p.m. to 6p.m.
  • September 1-3rd Mall of Georgia, 3333 Buford Dr., Buford, GA, 30159 12p.m. to 5p.m.
  • September 1-3rd Town Center Mall, 400 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 12p.m. to 5p.m.
  • September 8, 9th Discover Mills Mall, 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA, 30043 1p.m. to 6p.m.
