The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission has described as unacceptable the video which makes derogatory remarks about the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

In a statement issued by Maulvi Dr. A. Wahab Adam, the Ameer (Head) & Missionary-In-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, he stated: "The Mission has at the same time expressed the belief that the resort to violence in reaction to the video is inconsistent with Islamic teachings."

The Mission stated that the killing of innocent US diplomats and vandalizing embassies was not the best way of responding to the video.

By ignoring Islamic precepts in such situations and opting for violence lends support to the false claims by critics of Islam, that Islam is a violent religion, according to the Ahmadis.

The Mission noted that the US Secretary of State has rightly described the video as reprehensible and extended its condolences to the US government on the deaths of her diplomats.

According to the statement, the life of holy prophet of Islam, on whom be peace & blessings of Allah, is an open book and as such, the best way to respond to attacks on his person is to use the latest means of communication made available to the world by Allah through His grace to highlight the noble character of the Holy Prophet of Islam, on whom be peace & blessings of Allah rather lend support to the baseless claims of critics of Islam, that Islam is a violent religion.
