AMRITSAR: With intentions of creating rift between Sikhs and Ahmadiyya Muslims, a person using fake ID on Facebook has attempted to defile Guru Nanak Dev and other Sikh Gurus. Spokesperson and secretary for geneal affairs, Sadar Anjuman Ahmadiyya, Mohammad Naseem Khan told TOI on Monday that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community had taken serious note on the incriminating matter that surfaced on a social website Facebook on October 6.
"A person with fake ID has tried to besmirch Guru Nanak Dev along with other Gurus with an ulterior motive to malign, drag and implicate Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamat into a very embarrassing and inconvenient position" he said. Member Ahmadiyya Press Committee Chaudhary Maqbool Ahmad informed that on Facebook account the person using a fake ID had put photographs of Guru Nanak Dev, other Sikh gurus and founder of Jamat founder Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and have given objectionable remarks.
He apprehended that the whole operation could be Pakistan based where Ahmadiyya's had been declared non-Mulsims and were subjected to persecution. Khan said one Tahir Ahmad, with a fictitious name and fake identity had tried to denigrate the Sikh gurus and manipulating the names of Ahmadiyya Muslims in order to sow seeds of discord between two communities. While condemning the mechination against Ahmadiyya sect, Khan said that a delegation of Jamat along with Baba Sukhdev Singh Bedi, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, MLA, Fatehgar Churian, , Hakim Swaran Singh former President, Nagar Council , Qadian Chaudhary Abdul Wassy , Maulana Tanvir Ahmad Khadim met Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala demanding strict action against the culprits.
"We want the culprits to be booked under the charges of treason against government of India and nation " said Khan adding that the cyber criminal should be traced immediately and punished. Khan said Ahmadiyya's were peace loving Muslims and not only gives respect to Guru's but also Hindu gods and goddesses while quoting words of founder of Ahmadiyya that "An Ahmadiyya Muslim who fails to respect the founders of other religions does not belong to my Jamaat".
