Kindness, mercy, love required of Muslims

If one claims to be a follower of Prophet Muhammad, one needs to follow this example. As Prophet Muhammad acted kindly towards the old lady who used to throw trash on him, similarly all Muslims should ignore what others do — rather act kindly and mercifully just like their prophet did.

The film mocking the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, has led to riots and violent situations in Muslim countries. These violent acts of Muslims have taken many lives; besides that, such acts have caused an embarrassment to the Muslims themselves.

Muslims need to learn from the example of Muhammad. It is narrated that there was an old lady who used throw trash on Prophet Muhammad every day while he was going toward the mosque for prayers. One day, the old lady did not throw the garbage, and this had the Prophet worried. He went to the old lady’s house to inquire if she was OK. By this act of Prophet Muhammad, that old lady was so impressed that she never threw garbage on Prophet Muhammad again.

If one claims to be a follower of Prophet Muhammad, one needs to follow this example. As Prophet Muhammad acted kindly towards the old lady who used to throw trash on him, similarly all Muslims should ignore what others do — rather act kindly and mercifully just like their prophet did.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, a sect of Islam, promotes true values of Islam that include tolerance, kindness, mercy and love for humanity. If one studies the life of Prophet Muhammad with an open mind, all these traits are apparent in him.
