Canada: 'It is incumbent upon us to be loyal to our country'

This venue selection is even more apt because of the nature of Ahmadi Muslim beliefs, and how strongly aligned they are with Canadian values.

Being an Ahmadi Muslim, I found this editorial very uplifting and very true. The Ahmadiyya mosque was a perfect choice for the Prime Minister to launch the Office of Religious Freedom. This emphasized that the office, whose ambassador is Christian, will not be biased toward any one religion, and will instead fight for the persecuted of every faith.

This venue selection is even more apt because of the nature of Ahmadi Muslim beliefs, and how strongly aligned they are with Canadian values.

For example, we believe it is incumbent upon us to be loyal to our country of residence. We’re non-violent, peace-loving, and we give back to the community — we helped raise over 10,000 units of blood in the U.S. last year. Indeed, it was an excellent choice to make the announcement from the platform of a community committed to the values of our new home — Canada.
