India: Ahmadi Muslims organize All Religious Reformers Day conference at Kolkata Book Fair

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Kolkata organized an All Religious Reformers Day Conference at the Open Auditorium of the 37th  International Kolkata Book Fair on 2nd of February 2013.

Thousands of people from difference religions, walks of life and places attended the the four-hour program which presented multiple speakers representing different faiths.

Among the presenters at the conference, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, the attendees listened to Father K. Victor-Sam representing the Christian Community, Sri Hemendu Bikash Chowdhury of the Bengal Buddhist Association, Sri Buddho Debanando Maharaj of Ram Krishna Math, Barisha/Kolkata, Sri Nilanjan Guha of Madhav Nilaya, Kalpataru Sangha Bhadu, Prof. Dr. Sukhwqant Singh D.M.S. (Calcutta University) B.M.C.P. (Jadavpur University Calcutta.) representing the Sikh Community, Maulana Sheikh Mujahid Ahmad Shastri, Master Mohammed Mashrique Ali and Maulana Abu Tahir Mondal of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Presided by Syed Mahmood Ahmad, president Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Kolkata, the conference featured  Dr. Osman Ghani, Head of The Department of Islamic History and Culture, Calcutta University (Retd.) as the chief guest.

Maulana Sheikh Mujahid Ahmad Shastri, Editor, Weekly Badr, Qadian/India said that all the religions of the world propagate universal unity and brotherhood and promote integrity, but the teachings of Islam is most eminent and comprehensive as it consolidates the essence of all faiths.

The teachings of Islam, Maulana Shastri explained, are most lucid to the very nature of human beings and are a blessing for all mankind.

Speaking for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Maulana Abu Tahir Mondal in his opening speech narrated that the Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has repeatedly emphasized the importance of establishing international peace by formation of a relationship between man and his creator.

International peace can be successfully established only with Justice and impartiality, Maulana Mondal said.
