Perspective: Jihad is within
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, I wish to let my fellow young Canadians know that radicalism and Islam have nothing to do with each other, so don't ever fall into that trap or the twisted allure it might possess.

Some troubled young Canadians are turning to radical Islam to gain a sense of purpose and superiority.
As a 16-year old Muslim born and raised in this country, I find this sad. Not only is it already a source of great pain that the actions of some Islamic terrorist organizations are tainting the name of Islam, but now even new young Muslims are being dragged into this twisted understanding of Islam.
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, I wish to let my fellow young Canadians know that radicalism and Islam have nothing to do with each other, so don't ever fall into that trap or the twisted allure it might possess. The true jihad is the fight within oneself.
The truth is, these groups have nothing to do with Islam; in fact, they are the enemies of Islam, and ignorantly carry the banner of jihad to justify their inhumane actions.
