Indonesia: Ahmadis can not vote in NTB Governor election, says Deputy Governor

Metrotvnews.com, Mataram: Over 70 Ahmadis living in the Transito shelter in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), can not use their voting rights in the election of Governor (Governor Election) NTB.
Ahmadis also do not have the right to complain as Indonesian citizens.
"We request treatment as an Indonesian citizen. Tak undifferentiated from other residents and participate gubernatorial election," pleaded Syahidin, a resident who met Metro TV on Friday (10/5).
Syahidin claiming the Ahmadis in Transito do not have the right to vote since seven years of being in the shelter.
The reason, said Syahidin, they are not registered as permanent voters list and do not have ID cards as Indonesian citizens.
"We've tried to go to the Civil Registry Office for e-KTP emmbuat. But once they (office staff) know I live in Transito, (name) crossed again," Syahidin says.
Moreover, their living conditions in Transito are very alarming.
Over 35 heads of families living with simplicity. Seven years ago NTB provincial government put those coming from several districts / town in Transito. Meanwhile, the atmosphere at Mataram safe and orderly.
NTB Governor Election circuit enters a quiet period from 10 to 12 May 2013.
However, the Commission staff is busy preparing for administrative purposes NTB voting which took place on 13 May.
