Muslims for Life is a true interfaith initiative as it shows that we have been created with the same precious blood, which can be donated to others regardless of our religious and ethnic differences.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been a strong voice in condemning terrorism and violence of any kind and putting those words into actions.
For example, to honor the victims of 9/11, the community began the Muslims for Life campaign which has culminated in blood drives being held in mosques, churches, synagogues and other places of worship, along with high schools, colleges and universities across the country.
For the third annual campaign, the goal is to collect 12,000 units of blood in an effort to save 36,000 American lives in accordance with the Islamic teaching, “If you save one life, it is as if you have saved all of mankind” (5:33).
Blood drives are scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 9, at the Jewish Community Center, 1200 Edgewood Ave. in Brighton, and from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Bait un Naseer Mosque, 1609 E. Main St., Rochester.
Muslims for Life is a true interfaith initiative as it shows that we have been created with the same precious blood, which can be donated to others regardless of our religious and ethnic differences. Help us honor the victims of 9/11 by donating blood by visiting our website (http://muslimsforlife.org/) to find a blood drive near you, or contact me at Mubarak.m.bashir@ahmadiyya.us or on twitter @mbashir232.
