A portion of the donations received for the walk will directly benefit HCBF’s local events and programs, like our annual “Family Food Fest” in San Pedro.

Today, On Sunday, October 27, MKA-USA, a leading Muslim youth group, hosts “Walk for Humanity,” a walk-a-thon in Chino to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief programs across Southern California.
The walk started at 9:00 am at Cypress Trails Park, 6571 Schaefer Ave, Chino, CA 91710.
The L.A. area walk is part of MKA-USA’s nationwide network of walks taking place on the same day in New York City, Washington D.C., and other major cities.
A portion of the donations received for the walk will directly benefit HCBF’s local events and programs, like our annual “Family Food Fest” in San Pedro.
Local Ahmadiyya Muslim youth leader, Fahad Rajput, has been leading the charge in organizing the walk-a-thon and many previous youth efforts including blood donations drives by his group in the area.
"It is great to see the local community's support and how Americans from various backgrounds and religions join in the spirit of humanity as one," wrote Fahad Rajput in an email to Ahmadiyya Times.
Fahad says he has grown up with a 'simple but very meaningful motto' that Ahmadi Muslims Live by, "Love for All, Hatred for None."
"This is the true essence of Islam."
50 million Americans are at risk of going hungry, including 17 million children. Our goal is to start tackling hunger directly in San Pedro and Wilmington, the two Port communities we serve.
