A charity ladies night has raised more than £1,800 for victims of the Philippine typhoon disaster.
The dinner and auction at the Hilton Hotel, Bradford, enjoyed a big turnout with guests giving generously, said organiser Razia Amini who represents aid charity Humanity First.
She said: “This money will go a long way in rebuilding the lives of some of the nine million people affected by the devastating typhoon Haiyan. It will contribute towards the building of infrastructure and the development of homes, schools and hospitals to some of the worst affected areas.”
Humanity First has already set up thousands of emergency shelter kits and water filtration units as well as distributing food, warm clothing and blankets.
