A 7 day charity cycle ride to 10 Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosques raising money for Humanity First and the British Heart Foundation will take place on 1-7 June 2014.
The event is being organized by the community as part of their centenary celebrations in the UK.
In the year 1913, according to the organizers, the community was established in the UK with the arrival of the first missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) in the UK.
In these past 100 years the community has grown to over 30 mosques and mission houses now established in the UK and more than 40 thousand members "who preach loyalty, peace, tolerance, and respect."
"Similar to the iconic 1989 Bradford to London Cycle Ride," the organizers website says, "this Centenary Bicycle Ride for Peace would form part of the Centenary Celebrations of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK."
The cyclists will start their journey from Baitur Rahman, the northerly-situated Mosque in the City of Glasgow, and will cycle seven days to reach the largest mosque in the Western Europe, the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London. This will constitute a total journey of 601 miles.
Along the way the cyclists will visit 10 iconic mosques of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community while offering thanks to the Almighty for the remarkable progress of this peaceful community.
Hundreds of Ahmadi Muslim cyclists will ride the route in their regions. More than two dozen from the Ahmadi Cycling Club and the Metropolitan Police Department will ride the whole route of 601 miles.
The AMA regions will host the cyclists, provide overnight stay at their iconic Mosques.

There will be a support vehicle for the cyclists at all times with bike repair facility, refreshments, and carrying additional bikes.
The money raised from this ride will go towards Humanity First and the British Heart Foundation.
This Ride for Peace and the participating riders will showcase the progress of this community and its core values of loyalty, respect, tolerance and peace that resonate strongly with fundamental principles that represents Great Britain.
