Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad addresses the participants about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle
On 3rd May 2014, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Fifth Khalifa, attended the concluding session of the Jamia Ahmadiyya UK Annual Sports Competition. The event was held at the College premises in Haslemere in Surrey.
During the 3-day event various sporting competitions took place including football, badminton and athletics. Finally, in the concluding session a number of the college students took part in Jamia’s unique and challenging ‘obstacle course race’ known as the ‘Rok Dhor’ in the presence of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad. An exhibition tug-of-war match also took place between the senior college students and the juniors which was comprehensively won by the junior team.
Following a prize distribution ceremony, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad addressed the students and reminded them of the importance of maintaining physical fitness as a means to aid their learning and to fulfil their responsibilities as representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Continuing, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Regular exercise is necessary for all of you and it is also essential that you maintain discipline in every aspect of your life. You should try and keep your entire day timetabled and plan your day’s activities in advance, as this will aid your learning and enable you to fulfil your duties in the very best manner.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad concluded by praying that the students of Jamia Ahmadiyya UK were successful in every aspect of their lives.
