Association members teamed up with the Rev Kathy Robertson and her team from St John the Evangelist Church for a community tea party.

More than 80 people attended helping to raise £500 for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Brackenhall.

Local dignitaries and faith leaders, including Deputy Mayor of Kirklees Clr Paul Kane and Rector of Dewsbury the Rev Canon Kevin Partington, were joined by members of the local community and neighbours.

A range of food and drinks was provided including cakes, samosas, sandwiches and chocolates. Local businesses donated raffle prizes.
