World leader of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Khalifatul Masih V, and other Muslim leaders have canvassed peaceful co-existence among religious groups and people of diverse cultures for a more fulfilling and sustainable development.

Speaking at the 48th annual conference of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association U.K., at Oakland Farm, UK, Hazrat Ahmad said the call became imperative against the backdrop of global misunderstanding among religious groups, extremism and terrorism.

According to Hazrat Ahmad, people perpetrating religious conflicts do not understand the essence of religion, which emphasises and promotes unity among mankind, as well as improves moral human fiber.

Ahmad used the event to highlight the virtues of Prophet Muhammad, who preached love, kindness, humility, transparency, honesty and hard-work among other virtues, and appealed to the gathering to emulate the Prophet for a peaceful world. “Give others their rights, while obeying your God, for peace to return to our world.”

While condemning acts of terrorism under the guise of religion, Hazrat Ahmad appealed that all understand and appreciate that humanity is one and that life is precious. According to him, on no account must human beings destroy themselves when they can embrace dialogue to iron out differences.
