Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Qadian, India, organized a special cleanliness drive here in Qadian today.
Maulana Mohammad Inaam Ghori, Chief Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, India, started the event with prayers in Bahishti Maqbra where hundreds of young and old community members were gathered to participate in the drive.
Chief Secretary advised the community that the effort is in the spirit of the Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi's launch of “Sawach Bharat” drive few weeks before.
Maulana Ghori further said that the cleanliness drive, part of “Swach Bharat,” is in preparations of the community's three days International Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana), to be held from 26th December in Qadian.
In today's cleanup, the Ahmadiyya volunteers cleaned the small streets, main roads, hospitals, railway stations, public places, bus stand, Power House and college.
Many senior members of the Ahmadiyya leadership, including, Qari Nawab Ahmad President Majlis Ansarullah Bharat; Rafique Ahmad Baig, President Majlis Khudam Ul Ahmadiyya Bharat; Hafiz Mazhar Ahmad Tahir, Syed Tufail Ahmad, Mamoon Tabrez, Mubashir Ahmad Amil, Safir Ahmad Shamim, Mohammad Ismael Tahir,Abdur Rehman Khalid, Dr. Abdul Majid, Nasir Waheed, Ata Ur Rehman Khalid, Dr. Dilawar Khan, Qarul Haq Khan, Dhul Kifal, and Mubarak Ahmad Cheema were present on this occasion.
