A group of youngsters from the Bangalore chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community went knocking door to door in the Jayanagar residential area to spread Islam's 'Message of Peace' in an effort to remove misunderstandings about Islam.
Some 16 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Dawat-ilAllah (faith outreach) team gathered on the morning of Sunday, April 26th, and strategized a pamphlet package distribution drive for the day.
Splitting up into 6 teams, the youth went off to the different blocks of Jayanagar where they covered more than 210 homes in 3 hours. Nearly all the recipients at these homes gave very positive responses and many who received the messages appreciated the community's efforts for removing the misunderstandings about Islam. Many said they loved to see Muslims making such efforts to foster brotherhood and Peace among communities.
Message of Peace teams came across many educated and professionals such as lawyers, doctors, economists, software developers, business men, etc., and most of them were Hindus and few Muslims. They asked about the Ahmadiyya community and how it is different from the other Muslim sects. The appreciated the community's efforts for the betterment of the society.
Some even engaged in theological discussions.
