The Association raised AUD $11,800 last year in the same door knock appeal, which shows a significant rise in funds raised and volunteer efforts made.
Robert Tickner, CEO for the Australian Red Cross, appreciated the Association’s partnership with the Red Cross and said,
“All of our work relies heavily on the generosity of people like members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association who donate to Red Cross. We are particularly grateful for your amazing contribution to Red Cross Calling this year. Please keep up the good work.”Imam Kauser, the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia said,
“Our community passionately participates in Red Cross Calling and Red Cross blood donations each year and the partnership is growing stronger and stronger with every passing year. The community raised more than $11,000 last year in the door knock appeal and I’m being told that, since January this year, our members have saved more than 130 lives by donating around 46 pints of blood from all over the country. Saving lives and serving humanity is what our religion Islam teaches us.”
