The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA first launched its nationwide “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign in January 2011 to impress upon their fellow Muslims that they have a duty to be peaceful and loyal to the United States.
Anis Ahmad Chaudry of Brea, California, who serves as the chapter's vice president says "Muslims for Loyalty" is much more than a slogan.
"Loyalty to the country where one lives is a concept rooted in the Muslim faith and the Prophet Muhammd's practice," Chaudry said, "and, Ramadan is the most adequate time to get this point across."
"We wants our fellow Americans to know Islam is not the violent religion of hate that extremists like ISIS have shown it to be."
During the past 5 years, thousands of units of blood have been donated under “Muslims for Loyalty” banner along with stretches of nation's freeways adopted for cleaning and millions of leaflets delivered door-to-door debunking the Islam-violence-connection myth.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889 in Qadian, India, the Community spans 206 countries with membership exceeding 160 million.
