The UK's longest standing and largest Muslim convention, Jalsa Salana, returns to Hampshire for its 49th edition from Friday the 21st to Sunday the 23rd of August 2015.
The convention expects to see over 30,000 Muslim and non-Muslim guests from the UK and around the world, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK has said through a statement posted on its press and media website.
The guest will include, according to the statement, royalty, clergy from a range of faiths, ministers of states, academics and dignitaries.
This will be "the most spiritually charged retreat the British summer has to offer," the community has asserted..
The keynote speaker will be the 5th Khalifa of Islam Ahmadiyya, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
His Holiness will address the delegates five times during the course of the convention and various other speakers from around the world will also take to the stage.
Oaklands Farm will be transformed into a mini-city complete with prayer halls, hospitality tents, camping sites, a 'bazaar' or shopping market, a bread-baking plant, an international television studio, bookshops and exhibitions.
Tens of thousands of Muslims, including hundreds of British converts, will pledge allegiance to the Islamic Khalifa (Caliph) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Millions more around the world will join in the pledge of allegiance via satellite TV.
The convention will be hosted by 5,000 British Muslim volunteers, including over 2,000 Muslim women.
"Don't miss this unique event as Muslims gather to promote peace, tolerance and love," the community said in its website statement. "It is the event that will showcase the true face of Islam."
