The Ameer and Missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has expressed disgust over the recent judicial scandal that rocked the country as a result of the Anas expose'.

Addressing thousands of Muslims last week during the Eidul Adha celebration, he said the recent judicial scandal was as a result of man's greed, thus stooping very low and becoming the "animal incarnate."

He, therefore, advised that cue must be taken from "our founding fathers and we must learn to be selfless, learn to distant ourselves from acts that are a detriment to, and undermine the progressive development of our country of corruption.

"You need to know what are the challenges, trials, tribulations, guiding principles and the numerous sacrifices that our nation founding fathers had to make in a concerted manner, which made it possible for them to establish our dear motherland," he added.

He commended Muslims for going through a successful spiritual upliftment and was confident that all the spiritual devotions and prayers presented had received and would continue to receive appropriate responses by the Almighty Allah.

Also, he charged traditional, religious as well as political leaders to reflect on that spirit of sacrifice and resolute selflessly with utmost dignity.

Eid-UI-Adha, which literally means the sacrifice festival, and the culmination of the ritual of the Hajj, was not only a moral and spiritual upliftment, but also as a reminder of the need for sacrifice in nation building.

The celebration was crowned with merry making as well as sporting activities.
