Sri Lanka: 'Love For All; Hatred For None' to Go on School Notice Board


The Principal accepted Islam as a religion of peace, when it was explained in detail by the delegation.

School Principal says 'Love For All; Hatred For None' slogan will be displayed in School Notice Board as distribution of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation continues

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr.A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach - AMJSL and Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad (Chief Missionary - AMJSL) and Murabbi Javid Raheem visited Kaluthura - one of the Sri Lanka’s down south city recently to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Schools in the area.

The delegation met Mrs. Nisansila, Director, Open University of Sri Lanka Study Center, Kaluthura and gifted copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation. She warmly welcomed the delegation and said she will be pleased to have such a wonderful book for their library.

The delegation also met Mr. A. Abeysinghe, Principal of Gnanodaya Maha Vidyalaya, Kaluthura and gifted copy of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation. He showed much interest to know about the real teachings of Islam as the name of Islam being damaged because of few evil elements. The Principal accepted Islam as a religion of peace, when it was explained in detail by the delegation.

The delegation also visited schools in the town namely Kaluthura Roman Catholic Maha Vidyalaya, Dharmakula Maha Viyalaya, Kaluthura National School, Holy Cross College, Kaluthura Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Tissa Central College, Museus College, Rajaguru Sri Suboothi Maha Vidyalaya, Wafkaduwa and Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya, Waduwa.

Moreover, Jama’at delegating comprising Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary – AMJSL, Murabbi Javid Raheem and Murabbi. T. Tahir Ahmad had arranged a program on 24 March, 2016 to distribute Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation in the nearby area to Baithul Hamd – National Headquarter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at - Sri Lanka.

The delegation visited St. John’s College, Colombo.10 and met Vice Principal Mrs.Lakmal to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation. While accepting, she said that it was a great gift for which she was longing for.

While accepting the Qur’an, Principal of the St. Mathew’s College, Dematagoda Mr. Wickramasinghe expressed his gratitude and said that he was trying to get the Qur’an through Muslims, but of an unavailable one.

The delegation met Mr. Karunathilake, Principal of Veluvana Maha Vidyalaya in the same area to gift Qur’an Sinhala Translation. He said, when Bodu Bala Sena (BBS – an extremist group) launched a campaign against Islamic Holy Book, he was thinking he should read this book to know what it really says. Now this is the time for me to read this Holy Book, the Principal added.

While accepting the Holy Qur’an, the Principal of President’s College, Kotte Mr. Danushka Aryaratne said on seeing the motto: LOVE FOR ALL ; HATRED FOR NONE in the Peace Message of us, he will display these beautiful words in School Notice Board.

The delegation visited schools namely Rajasingh Maha Vidyalaya, Dematagoda, Susamayawardena, Balika Mha Vidyalaya, Colombo.8, Sri Jeyawardenepura Kotte Balika Vidyalaya, Sri Jeyawardenapura Boy’s College, Kotte, and St. Thomas College, Pita Kotte.

To all of them, along copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literatures including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented.
