A London man of high repute in the Sunni Muslim community and an honoree of the Queen’s Member of British Empire (MBE) award, may have links to underground extremist groups plotting to kill Ahmadī Muslims in the UK.

Toaha Qureshi -- of Pakistani origin -- who claims on his Twitter profile page to be a philanthropist, a conflict resolution educationist, an author, a writer, and a Pakistani entrepreneur, among many other titles, is suspected to be in the middle of the ‘kill Ahmadis’ leaflet scandal discovered in the UK.

Various types of leaflets allegedly instigating murder of Ahmadī Muslims ‘for apostasy’ were recently uncovered at a Sunni Mosque on Stockwell Green, the BBC and IBT reported over the last weekend.

According to investigative findings posted on micro-blogging website Twitter, Toaha Qureshi, MBE, happens to be a trustee of the Aalami Majalise Tahaffuze Khatme Nubuwwat (AMTKN), the organization implicated in spreading of 'Kill Ahmadis' leaflets for several years now.

The document listing Mr Qureshi’s trusteeship of AMTKN also showed the organization is registered at the mosque address at 35 Stockwell Green. A sign at the mosque entrance says it is a Khatme Nubuwwat Center.

AMTKN is the same group that posted congratulatory notes on their Facebook page after the murder of Ahmadi Muslim Asad Shah in Glasgow.

Toaha Qureshi, who received his MBE Honour Award in the UK in 2010 “For services to Community Relations”, has a knack for finding opportunities in Pakistan to instigate charges under the country’s notorious Blasphemy Law.

As recently as September 2015, Qureshi was reported to have asked the Pakistani government to charge former Pakistani envoy to the UK, Wajid Shamsul Hassan, under blasphemy and treason laws for sympathizing with Ahmadis.

Envoy Wajid Shamsul Hassan was on the receiving end of Toaha Qureshi’s wrath because the former had spoken at an Ahmadiyya conference in the UK where Hassan dubbed Pakistan’s decision to declare Ahmadis non-Muslim wrong.

“His [Hassan’s] rant is condemnable and entire nation demands a strict action against him,” Toaha Qureshi had demanded, according to Pakistani newspaper, The Nation.
