On Rock Community Services is hoping to fill 100 bins of non-perishable food for its GoBac challenge taking place tomorrow at the Starbuck on Sources.
Starting at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, On Rock Community Services Director Kim Reid and his team will be taking part in the GoBac Challenge for the second year running.

Recently, On Rock received about 7,500 pounds of food for the cause from the AMYA (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association). “We have a great network of people donating food but “On Rock needs to raise more than $200,000 every year for our operating budget and sometimes the resources go faster than the money coming in,” Reid said.
While Reid admitted that spending time marketing and fundraising is not his favourite aspect of helping others, “if we don’t do it, people don’t get fed.”
For those who want to help out but won’t be near the coffee shop on Thursday, a donation can be made to On Rock via their website at www.onrock.org or by calling 514.696.1905.
