In response to the mass shootings being carried out so frequently, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community globally sends their condolences and continually prays for families of the victims.

It is quite common to associate the word terrorism with the religion of Islam, as many terrorists in the past have carried out horrific acts in the name of this peaceful religion. However, terrorism belongs to no religion, rather it is a thought process generated in the minds of extremists and carried out violently. Often, terrorists carry out these actions simply to tend to something that has been bothering them; as a result, they attack and defend their actions behind a religion. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated, “God has made the blood property, and honor of every human being sacred.” Islam teaches that life is an extremely valuable and cherishable gift and that one should go about serving mankind for the benefit of all.

The Holy Quran says “Whosoever kills an innocent human being; it shall be as if he has killed all of mankind.” One should not judge an entire religion based on the negative actions of a few. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community headed by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, believes that under the banner of “Love For All, Hatred For None,” the world can come together to strengthen the bond of unity among all people. We stand in solidarity with the families of the victims of this horrific tragedy and with all peace-loving people of the world.
