Bangla Department of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK celebrated Eid Reunion on Sunday, the 17th July 2016 at the Rose Hill Community Centre in Oxford.
Presided over by Mr Mohammad Abdul Hadi, Regional Coordinator, South Region, Bangla Department UK, the function was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran with English translation by Mr Ata-e-Hadi. Mr Abu Sayeed Mullick translated the recited portion of the verses in Bangla. Mr Syed Muhiuddin Zubair rendered a beautiful poem in praise of Holy Prophet SAW. Mr Irfan Ansari, President of Oxford Jama’at made an address of welcome while Mawlana Humayun Uppal, Missionary, Oxford Jama’at presented a brief introduction of Ahmadiyyat in Islam. Mr Abu Sayeed Mullick, Za'eem Ansarullah, Oxford and Assistant Regional Coordinator, South Region, Bangla Department UK also spoke on this occasion.
Mawlana Feroz Alam, In-Charge Central Bangla Desk made his speech about the concept and background of Eid from the view point of the Holy Qur’an and the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (pubh). He pointed out that in order to ensure peace in today’s unrest world there was dire need of practising the life of Prophet SAW who was the blessing for the whole world and prince of peace.
Mr Mohammad Abdul Hadi thanked the attendees and a question answer session was held. Mawlana Feroz Alam and Mawlana Humayun Uppal answered the questions raised by the participants.
About 60 members of the Ahmadiyya Community from London and Oxfordshire along with some non-Ahmadi guests took part in this event.
The event concluded with the silent prayer led by Mawlana Feroz Alam and delicious lunch was served.
At the end of the program Zuhr and Asr prayer was offered.
Mr Mansoor Ahmad, Secretary and Acting In-charge of Bangla Department UK moderated the entire session.
