Toronto: Abdul Basit Qamar who hails from Qadian was honored by the 5th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, here in Toronto yesterday.
The awards were conferred during the concluding session of the Ahmadiyya Convention which was held last weekend at the International Convention Hall in Mississauga near Toronto.
Qamar wrote a thesis which stood at first position in Canada.
Qamar said that the honor given by His Holiness is the 'honor of Qadian and India.'
Abdul Basit Qamar is the son of Maulana Abdul Hafeez Bakhapuri, Derwaish Qadian.
