Islamabad: Whenever there is any incident of blasphemy case in Punjab province of Pakistan, the activists from NGOs dispatch facts finding missions to get signatures of the family members of the blasphemy accused person on legal documents for power of attorney.

The 'power of attorney' document means that NGO which has this power shall be bound to provide legal aid to victim and rehabilitation or resettlement of family of victims for safety and security reasons because threat of life and property remains from angry Muslim mobs.

It is not that all Christian NGOs or Church leaders are not sincerely helping blasphemy victims but sadly a majority are using blasphemy laws as tool to collect funds for vested interests.

It is on record that NGOs with large funds do trading on cases of blasphemy laws in Pakistan with paying big amount of Pakistani Rupees to NGO with less funds but have power of attorney from families of accused individuals of blasphemy.

It must be noted that the high profile case of Asia Bibi -- who is behind bars on death row for six years on allegations of blasphemy -- is known in the national media as “Golden Goose” for the Pakistani Christian NGOs, because some NGOs and few Christian religious leaders are collecting millions from donors around globe but not doing due efforts to save Asia Bibi's life.

For instance, read this story of family of victim of blasphemy in Gujranwala and feel agony which reflects in it;

“Irshad Javed w/o Javed Naz aged about 50 approached CTS on Friday October 28, 2016 and requested for help in the blasphemy case.
